ICTSI’s Argentina subsidiary launches new feeder service

TecPlata, International Container Terminal Services’ (ICTSI) business unit operating at the Port of La Plata in Argentina, and the Port of Santa Fe have launched a new barge feeder service, establish a direct container shipping link to Brazil and Asia.

The service will have a minimum of two calls per month between Santa Fe and La Plata. It will also serve as an alternative river connection to Argentina’s central, northeast, and northwest regions.

ICTSI said the service aims to provide a lower cost alternative to inland transport between Greater Buenos Aires and the country’s hinterland.
