CU Lines orders two 7,000TEU newbuildings
China United Lines (CU Lines) has awarded Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) a contract for the construction of two container vessels in a series.
Each ship will have an LOA of 272.5 metres, a beam of 42.8 metres, a depth of 24.6 metres, a design draught of 15 metres, and capacity for 7,000 TEUs.
Other features will include desulphurisation and shore power charging equipment.
