Containerships takes delivery of fifth LNG-powered newbuild

CMA CGM subsidiary Containerships has taken delivery of a new LNG-powered vessel from China’s Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard.

The Handysize vessel has been named Containerships Borealis. It has a length of 170 metres, a beam of 27 metres, and capacity for 1,400 TEUs.

The newbuild is the fifth LNG-powered vessel to join the Containerships fleet. It is optimised for operation in the Baltic Sea and Northern European waters.
