CMA CGM takes delivery of 15,000TEU newbuild

CMA CGM has taken delivery of a new 15,000TEU container vessel from China State Shipbuilding Corporation’s (CSSC) Jiangnan Shipyard.

CMA CGM Kimberley was designed by CSSC’s 708 Research Institute marine engineering arm. It is the second in a series to be delivered to the same owner after CMA CGM Patagonia.

The newbuild measures 366 by 51 metres and can sail at a service speed of 22 knots. The WinGD dual-fuel engine is designed to run primarily on LNG.
