CMA CGM christens fifth LNG-fuelled 23,000TEU newbuilding in series

CMA CGM officially named a new LNG-fuelled containership on Friday, January 8.

CMA CGM Rivoli is the fifth in a series of nine 23,000TEU vessels ordered from China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC). The ship is also the third in the series to be built by CSSC’s Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding.

Once completed, the vessel will have a length of 400 metres, a beam of 61 metres, and a fuel tank with capacity for 18,600 cubic metres of LNG.
