Hamburg Süd christens containership Polar Mexico

Hamburg Süd christened the 3,800TEU containership Polar Mexico in a ceremony at the Port of Veracruz on Monday, April 29.

The vessel is one of four Polar-class ships built by China’s Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding.

Polar Mexico has an LOA of 230 metres, a beam of 37.3 metres, and 1,000 reefer plugs which make the ship particularly tailored for transporting refrigerated cargo.
