JMU delivers 14,000TEU newbuild

Japan Marine United (JMU) delivered a newbuild 14,000TEU containership to Hanna Ship Holding on Friday, November 16.

Named One Columba, the 138,611DWT vessel can load containers in 18 rows by 11 columns in the hold plus 20 rows by nine columns on the deck.

Energy-saving features include an electronically controlled engine that ensures fuel economy at all sailing speeds.

One Columba has a length of 364.15 metres, a width of 50.6 metres, a depth of 29.5 metres, and a summer load draught of 15.79 metres. It can achieve a cruising speed of 22.4 knots.
