The Damen-designed multi-purpose patrol boat 'CSB 8001' has been handed over to Vietnam's Marine Police High Command in the northern province of Hai Phong.
According to Marine Police High Command political commissar major-general Nguyen Van Tuong, the vessel – the fourth such vessel delivered so far – is intended for patrol, rescue and aid operations as well as sea and island sovereignty protection.
Equipped with advanced systems and technology, the boat can operate in bad weather conditions – especially in offshore areas.
