The builders at Tampa Yacht Manufacturing and Tampa Defence UK have sea trialled and delivered their new 50 Fast Attack Craft model.

Operated by India's Border Security Force based out of Gujarat, the vessel will be involved in patrol and interdiction duties in the Arabian Sea. The vessel is 16.15 metres long, 4.47 metres wide, has a depth of 2.33 metres and a shallow draught of 0.76 metres.

Adaptability of the 50FAC was paramount during the building and designing process. Operations can include transporting troops or cargo, conducting search and rescue missions, acting as a floating hospital and ambulance, intercepting other vessels, patrolling, or serving as an high speed attack craft.

There are three weapons mounts including on the roof, and the craft is ballistically-protected and built to IACS-class standards for coastal regions.
