The US Coast Guard commissioned a new 46-metre fast response cutter (FRC) on Thursday, November 8.

USCGC Forrest Rednour will be homeported at Base Los Angeles-Long Beach along with three other Sentinel-class FRCs.

Like its sisters, Forrest Rednour has a crew of 24, a speed of 28 knots, the ability to launch and recover one over-the-horizon cutter boat, and provisions for one 25-millimetre and four 12.7-millimetre guns.
