New response boat delivered to US Coast Guard station in Burlington

The US Coast Guard Station and Aids-to-Navigation Team of Burlington, Vermont, took delivery of a new 45-foot (13-metre) Response Boat-Medium on Thursday, July 18.

The boat can operate in 30-knot winds and has an approximate range of 250 nautical miles.

The coast guard will deploy the boat on search and rescue (SAR) operations, homeland security missions, maritime law enforcement patrols, marine environmental protection duties, and maintenance of aids to navigation in Vermont's Lake Champlain.
