OCEA signed a contract with Department of Transportation of the Philippines last week for the supply of 40 35-metre fast patrol boats with associated integrated logistics support and maintenance services.
This contract forms part of the inter-governmental agreement between the Philippines and France signed in 2024.
These fast patrol boats are destined for the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), to which OCEA has already delivered five vessels between 2017 and 2020, including the 84-metre Gabriela Silang.
In 2019, OCEA opened a subsidiary in Manila, which currently employs 20 Filipinos, to provide maintenance for this fleet.
In recent months, the PCG signed a five-year renewal of the maintenance contract for its four 24-metre fast patrol boats with OCEA, followed by a renewed contract for the Gabriela Silang.
