Saronic Technologies unveils two new ASV series
Saronic Technologies has expanded its portfolio of autonomous surface vehicles (ASVs) with the addition of two new models.
Designed to support a broad range of autonomous maritime missions, the new vessels offer extended range and up to 10,000 pounds (4,500 kg) of carrying capacity.
To deliver on the need for a diverse range of autonomous platforms, the 40-foot (12-metre) and 60-foot (18-metre) ASVs will be developed to extend the range and carrying capacity of Saronic’s offerings.
The two new models will be designed to support a broad range of mission requirements for US and allied maritime forces, as well as a myriad of applications for the commercial maritime industry — from port-to-port logistics to supporting harbour operations.
The 40-foot ASV will have a range of over 2,000 nautical miles and a carrying capacity of 2,000 pounds (900 kg), double the range and capacity of Saronic’s 24-foot (7.3-metre) ASV.
The 60-foot ASV will have a range exceeding 3,000 nautical miles and supporting a carrying capacity of 10,000 pounds.
Both platforms will be built around Saronic’s open, modular software architecture, designed to enable adaptability across a range of defence and commercial missions. This will make integrating new sensors, payloads, and technologies fast and straightforward — without requiring a reengineering of the core system.
