Russian corvette Gromkiy begins builder’s trials

The new Russian corvette Gromkiy has left Vladivostok to conduct builder's trials in the Sea of Japan.

It is the seventh ship under the Project 20380 series of ships, otherwise known as the Steregushchiy-class.

The vessel is scheduled to be commissioned into the Russian Navy's Pacific Fleet by the end of this year.

Gromkiy has a length of 104.5 metres, a width of 13 metres, a total displacement of 2,200 tonnes, and a top speed of 27 knots.
