Israel Shipyards unveiled its newest offshore patrol vessel (OPV) series at the International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (IMDEX) 2019 in Singapore on Tuesday, May 14.
The 45-metre design is optimised for both military and law enforcement applications.
It will have a speed in excess of 24 knots, capacity for 16 crew and 24 deployable troops, a large work deck that can carry up to two six-metre containers, and the ability to launch and recover one rigid hull inflatable boat (RHIB) for interceptions and boardings.
The OPV may also be utilised for fisheries protection and anti-pollution operations.
