Russian communication vessel completes sea trials


On June 18, Northern Shipyard completed sea trials for Ivan Hurs, a communication vessel built for the Russian Navy.

The ship was laid on November 14, 2013 and launched on May 16, 2017. 

Ivan Hurs is the second ship built at Northern shipyard under Project 18280.

The project's flagship, Yuri Ivanov, was handed over to the Russian Navy in 2014. 

The vessel features a displacement of 4,000 tonnes, length of 95 and width of 16 metres.

It can travel at a speed ​​of 16 knots and has a range of navigation of 8,000 nautical miles.

The vessel can carry a crew of 131 people.
