Finnish workboat builder Marine Alutech delivered the company's 400th boat at the end of 2009 to the Finnish Border Guard.
The Watercat 1300 patrol boat was the fourth of 13 PV 08-class vessel delivered to Nauvo island Southwest Finland.
The vessel measures 13.5 metres by 3.8 metres and is equipped with two Scania DI 12 marine diesel engines and Rolls-Royce FF375S waterjet propellers which give the boat a full load top speed of over 40 knots.
Each vessel is equipped with a complete range of navigation and communication instruments featuring a large number of integrated Furuno products.
The concept, performance and equipment were designed and chosen to fulfil the requirements of the Finnish Border Guard in border patrolling, sea rescue and other activities.
The contract includes an option for eight more vessels from 2012 to 2013.
