Published on

Japan Marine United (JMU) has received an order for the construction of 10 multi-role response vessels (MRRV) and special spare parts from the Government of the Philippines for the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

The aim of the purchase of the MRRVs is to improve the capabilities of the PCG for speeding up response times to maritime incidents like search and rescue and maritime law enforcement.

Manned by a crew of 20, the vessels will be 44.0 metres long, 7.5 metres wide and have a depth of 4.0 metres.
They will be powered by two MTU engines and maintain a cruising speed of 15 knots.
