Auckland Coastguard christens newest rescue boat

Volunteer rescue organisation Auckland Coastguard christened the newest addition to its vessel fleet on Thursday, August 8.

Designed by Naiad and built by Alloy Cats, Trillian Trust Rescue has a length of 15 metres and is powered by twin Scania 520kW engines.

The NZ$1.6 million (US$1.03 million) boat was purchased entirely with funds generated from donations to Auckland Coastguard.
