Cochin Shipyard delivers fast patrol vessel

Cochin Shipyard (CSL) has delivered the 18th vessel in a series of 20 fast patrol vessels under construction for the Indian Coast Guard, the 'ICGS Aryaman'.

The vessel will be operated from the coast guard station in Kochi. The series will be used to conduct patrolling duties within India's exclusive economic zone.

It will carry out anti-smuggling, anti-piracy and search and rescue operations, as well as monitoring the area's fisheries.

Within this financial year, the Cochin has delivered seven fast patrol vessels to the Indian Coast Guard.
