World’s largest LNG ferry for Brittany?

Published on

Ouest France has reported a vessel order from French ferry operator Brittany Ferries for the world's largest LNG-fuelled ferry.

The vessel will have a top speed of 25 knots and will accommodate over 2,000 passengers and nearly 700 vehicles. It will be constructed by STX France, at the shipbuilder's Saint-Nazaire-based Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard.

The order signals Brittany Ferries opting for LNG for future vessels and as a means to reduce environmental footprint and emissions.
