Strategic Marine launches new Ro-Pax for Pentland Ferries

Strategic Marine Vietnam has launched a new catamaran Ro-Pax vessel being built for UK-based Pentland Ferries.

Named Alfred, the vessel will service the Orkney Islands to and from the main island of Scotland.

It will have a length of 84.5 metres, a width of 22 metres, a maximum draught of 2.7 metres, a speed of 16 knots, and capacity for 430 passengers and up to 98 cars or 12 semi-trailers/lorries with 54 cars.
