Published on

Grandi Navi Veloci (GNV), part of the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) Group, has announced its entry into the Algerian market, expanding the company's range of services dedicated to the Maghreb area, with the aim of consolidating its position in the Mediterranean.

During the next summer season, the company's schedule will be expanded with trips from Sète to Algiers and Bejaia with a weekly frequency. Sales will open from April 7.

"We have chosen to enter a market with significant growth potential, particularly for the passenger transport," CEO Matteo Catani commented.

"We believe that we have a fleet designed to respond to diversified needs and the necessary know-how to contribute to the further growth of the market in terms of service and improvement of the quality of the offer.

"The large Algerian community residing in Europe, especially in France, makes these routes a natural complement to our offer, in line with a strategic approach that aims at a sustainable and respectful entry, aimed at complementing the existing offer and responding effectively to the mobility demands of the region."
