German shipbuilder confirms delays to Irish Ferries order

German shipbuilder Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft (FSG) has had to delay delivery of a new vessel to Irish Ferries.

FSG attributed the delay to delays in the delivery of interior components for public areas and on the electrical system installation in the hull and deckhouse.

Entry into service is now planned for September 2018.
