Sixty people have been rescued after being forced to jump into the sea to escape a tour boat that caught fire near Whakatane in New Zealand.
The 22-metre vessel 'PeeJay V', which is owned by White Island Tours, has since sunk according to the Whakatane Beacon.
Companies and local operators were involved in rescuing the 53 passengers and seven crew members. Several passengers were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
