The passenger motor vessel 'Saphir', completed in March, 2012, and belonging to the ground breaking "Panorama Yacht" vessel class, has been inaugurated on Switzerland's Lake Lucerne and it has been operative since May.

The vessel measures 49 metres in length, has a capacity of 300 passengers, and reaches the speed of 15 knots via diesel-electric propulsion. The vessel was initially designed as a luxury yacht, with shipbuiding commenced in 2010 at Shiptec Shipyard's Lucerna site. The vessel's design and construction was overseen by Swiss engineer David Muller.
