Strategic Marine has delivered Putri Mayang Sari, the first of three 43-metre passenger catamarans under construction for Bintan Resort Ferries, following its naming on August 12 at the company's Singapore shipyard.

The new vessel can accommodate up to 293 passengers across two decks. The delivery marks the progression of the first vessel in the operator's three-ferry newbuild programme, following keel-laying in September 2025.

Bintan Resort Ferries currently operates a fleet of three vessels, with two additional newbuilds scheduled to enter service during 2026 to increase capacity and operational flexibility.

BRF General Manager Sebastian Koh noted, "Putri Mayang Sari represents an important step forward in strengthening connectivity between Singapore and Bintan," adding that ferry services serve as a vital link between the two destinations.

Strategic Marine said the construction of the remaining two catamarans is progressing, with deliveries scheduled during 2026.

"We are proud to have been entrusted with this vessel and honoured to continue our partnership with BRF through the construction of the next ferries in the series. said Chan Eng Yew, Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Marine.
