Lindblad Expeditions, Transcend Cruises ink multi-year charter deal

Lindblad Expeditions and Transcend Cruises have entered into a multi-year charter agreement wherein Transcend's ships will sail on river cruises in Europe on behalf of the National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions (NGLE) co-brand.

The initial agreement with Transcend Cruises will run through at least 2028. The partners expect to see a notable increase in annual European river departures operated on behalf of NGLE year-over-year on board Transcend Cruises' luxury newbuild ships.

Lindblad Expeditions CEO Natalya Leahy and Transcend Cruises CEO Hans Rood are developing a series of customised itineraries that will include notable riverside cities, towns, villages and other destinations.

Each voyage will be staffed by one of Lindblad Expeditions' specialists, several knowledgeable field staff, and at least one expert from National Geographic. Staff will guide guests on private tours, exclusive food tastings, and other associated activities.

Details of the NGLE co-brand's first-ever European river expedition season and the chartered vessels will be released in the coming weeks.
