A cruise ship owned by China's Blue Dream Cruises has resumed operational sailings following a refit at the Zhoushan facilities of COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry.

The refit on Blue Dream Melody was completed in two and a half months.

Modifications include overall refurbishment, incorporation of shore charging capability, renovation of 35 guest cabins on six decks, repair and replacement of the PU floors, replacement of the CCTV camera system, replacement of galley equipment, renovation of the onboard theatre, and installation of large outdoor viewing screens on the open deck.

This is the second refit project to be undertaken by the same shipyard for Blue Dreams Cruises. Blue Dream Star was the first in the owner's fleet to undergo a similar scope of extensive upgrade work.
