‘Celebrity Eclipse’ wins innovation award

Germany: 'Celebrity Eclipse' has won a Federal German innovation award, "365 Places in the Land of Ideas".

Dr. Karsten Wetwitschka of Deutsche Shipping, Hamburg, presented the award for the vessel, which was built by Meyer Werft in 2009.

Owned by Celebrity Cruises, the US$750 million vessel has a length of 314 metres, a beam of 36.8 metres and a draught of 8.3 metres. The vessel has accommodation for over 2,800 passengers.
