USA: 'Celebrity Constellation' arrived at Harwich International Port, UK, on May 2 as the first cruise call for the 2009 cruise season.
Operated by Celebrity Cruises, the 2,450 passenger ship had just completed a trans-Atlantic crossing from Fort Lauderdale, USA.
Chris Lewis, Chief Executive Officer of Hutchison Ports (UK) Limited, owners of Harwich International Port, said that Harwich was one of the UK's major gateways for cruise and ferry tourism, and that he was optimistic about the 2009 season despite the present economic situation.
