The purchaser of three ex-BC Ferries PacifiCats, Abu Dhabi Mar, will be establishing a ferry service in the Arabian Gulf.
It was initially thought that the shipyard, which specialises in the conversion and refurbishment of yachts, would refurbish the three vessels and sell them off.
The new ferry services will commence in 2010.
