Prosafe accommodation platform wins Petrobras tender for maintenance support

Published on:

Prosafe has been declared the winner of a bidding process for a four-year contract by Brazilian majority state-owned energy company Petrobras for the provision of the semi-submersible accommodation vessel Safe Notos for safety and maintenance support offshore Brazil.

The contract award and timing are subject to a formal process during which Petrobras is under no formal obligation to conclude a contract and other bidders may appeal.

A contract, if awarded, will have a firm period commitment of four years with the operational commencement in September 2026 closely following on from the expiry of Safe Notos' current contract that commenced in the third quarter of 2022.

The total value of the contract is approximately US$204 million.

Safe Notos is a DP3 semi-submersible safety and maintenance support vessel, capable of operating in harsh environments. It can accommodate up to 500 personnel and has extensive recreation facilities, a large crane capacity, a large open deck area, and a telescopic gangway.
