USC delivers sixth Project 22870 rescue tug to Russian Navy

United Shipbuilding Corporation's (USC) Astrakhan Ship Repair Plant has delivered the newbuild rescue tug SB-742 to the Russian Navy's Black Sea Fleet.

The Vympel-designed 57- by 14-metre vessel is the sixth to be built under Project 22870.

SB-742 will also be used for dive support, oil spill recovery, firefighting, and survey work.
