Bourbon's future crewboats to support Eni's operations off Congo
French offshore vessel operator Bourbon has entered into a five-year agreement with Eni Congo for the charter of six new crewboats in a series.
Bourbon said the new crewboats are scheduled to be commissioned progressively between June and December 2026. Pending their delivery, six vessels will be temporarily mobilised to ensure operational continuity from the start of the contract.
Bourbon said the new crewboats will be designed to meet Eni's operational and environmental requirements. The design will be based on that of an earlier fast crewboat series that was introduced in 2024.
Each new crewboat will have an optimised hydrodynamic design, a length of 20 metres, seating for up to 30 technicians, air conditioning, USB charging ports, an ergonomically laid out wheelhouse, and a 25-square-metre foredeck to be used mainly for carrying small parcels.
The six vessels will be operated at Eni's offshore fields and will support the company's two FNLG units. Operational support will be provided by Bourbon's local office in Congo.
