

United States: Oil and gas engineering company, Technip, has been awarded a contract by Enbridge Offshore Facilities for the development of the Walker Ridge gas gathering system in the Gulf of Mexico, at a water depth of 2,130 metres.
It covers the engineering, fabrication and installation of 270 kilometres of steel catenary risers and pipelines, as well as the installation of subsea equipment.
Technip's operating centre in Houston, Texas will manage the project. The export pipelines and risers will be welded at the group's spoolbase located in Mobile, Alabama.
The 'Deep Blue', Technip's deepwater pipelay vessel, will complete offshore installation in 2013.
