Sinopacific Shipbuilding Group (Sinopacific), has recently signed a contract with Mexican shipping company Naviera Petrolera Integral for the construction of three SPP17A-series platform supply vessels (PSVs).

All vessels will be built at Sinopacific's Zhejiang Shipyard and are expected to be delivered before the end of 2015.

Following that, Mexico's state-owned oil and gas company, PEMEX, will use the new vessels in development projects in the Gulf of Mexico.

This is the first time that Sinopacific's in-house SP-series of OSV will be used in the Mexican market. The SPP17A design measures 61.8 metres in length overall, with a breadth of 14 metres, a moulded depth of 5.8 metres, and a draught of 4.3 metres.

Employing an efficient diesel-electric propulsion system with DP2 dynamic positioning, the vessel has on board accommodation for 24.
