Sener develops a multipurpose subsea support vessel
Sener is developing a new multipurpose subsea support vessel specially designed for subsea ROV light construction duties, for worldwide service.
The ship will have a length overall of more than 112 metres, a length between perpendiculars longer than 100 metres and a breadth of 22 metres. The depth to main deck will be of nine metres while the draught will have more than seven metres. In total, it will be able to accommodate 110 persons on board.
The vessel will incorporate the following capacities: two FP Azimuthal main propellers of diesel electric propulsion, two FP tunnel thrusters and one FP retractable Azimuthal thruster. It will contain a 40-tonne electric deck crane, with the option for a bigger one, and will be able to work in depths of 4,000 metres. It will have an integrated moonpool and a helicopter deck. The main deck will be reinforced for heavy weights. The design has also prepared the ship for an optional 600-tonne cable carousel.
