Fugro has taken delivery of the 'Fugro Pioneer', the second of three FOCSV-series offshore coastal survey vessels.
The 'Fugro Pioneer' is a compact survey ship capable of undertaking a wide range of survey, monitoring and inspection operations.
Delivered from Damen, the vessel is designed for a variety of survey and inspections duties including light geotechnical work, environmental baseline surveys, monitoring and inspection, and moon pool deployments.
Diesel-electric propulsion, meanwhile, delivers very good economy at all speeds.
Following delivery, each FOCSV will be operating in a different part of the world. Thus, they have been adapted for the individual environments in which they will work.
With the vessel operator a specialist in the acquisition of the full spectrum of survey data, the vessels have been tailored to be adaptable for a wide range of tasks.
The 'Fugro Pioneer' is the second vessel to be built directly by Damen for Fugro.
