The first vessel of a "second generation" of carbon fibre SWATHs from Danish Yachts is nearing completion and will be soon placed into the water for sea trails.
SWATH number five (four SWATHs were delivered in 2013), built by Danish Yachts, has been further advanced and developed in order keep her at the forefront of the offshore wind industry.
Developed for the offshore wind industry, the vessel's structure has been further optimised compared to her predecessors, thus leading to a further weight reduction of over 10 per cent.
According to Danish Yachts, this improves the design's fuel efficiency, range, and the speed. Additionally, a new wheelhouse configuration has also been designed to allow for a better view when landing up against wind turbines.
