Malaysian engineering and construction contractor SapuraAcergy has issued a letter of intent to TSmarine to provide an ROV Support Vessel to assist the Sapura 3000 pipelay installation vessel during the Shell Gumusut-Kakap 2010 deep water campaign.

"This US$6 million, 65 day contract is a vote of confidence in our capability, service delivery and competitiveness in the region," said TSmarine CEO, John Edwards.

"We will mobilise the DP2 multi-role construction intervention vessel 'Havila Harmony', complete with two deep water ROVs and 150T active heave compensated crane, to Labuan, Malaysia in July 2010," Mr Edwards said.

He said additional ROV tooling and survey services would be mobilised onto the vessel to undertake the survey support, pre- and post pipelay operations in water depths ranging from 30 to 1,300 metres.

"The 'Havila Harmony's specification, like all of our assets, is well suited to deepwater construction work scopes and meets the high standards demanded by SapuraAcergy and Shell."
