On July 5, Royal IHC laid the keel for Subsea 7's new reel-lay vessel in Krimpen aan den Ijssel, Netherlands.
The vessel's pipelay system focuses on crew safety, operational efficiency and flexibility.
Seven Vega will be capable of installing complex rigid flowlines including pipe-in-pipe systems and electrically heat traced flowlines in water depths up to 3,000 metres.
The vessel is expected to be delivered in the first half of 2020.
