Haventus and Dajin Heavy Industry signed a memorandum of understanding to explore joint commercial opportunities across the UK and European offshore wind market.
The agreement focuses on combining Dajin’s manufacturing and transport capabilities with infrastructure at Ardersier port on Scotland’s east coast to support fixed and floating wind projects.
Under the agreement, the companies will evaluate how the port facility can support storage, marshalling, assembly, and transportation of offshore wind components before deployment at sea.
Developed for large-scale energy structures, Ardersier port features quayside land, deep-water access, and a high-voltage power connection.
Chinese manufacturer Dajin fabricates foundation structures for fixed and floating developments while operating its own fleet of specialist vessels.
“This MOU is another important step in strengthening Ardersier port’s role in the offshore wind supply chain,” noted Mark Gillespie, Chief Commercial Officer at Haventus.
Artur Pielech, Business Development Director at Dajin Heavy Industry, added, “Ardersier port’s scale and location make it a natural fit as we bring our logistics capability closer to European offshore wind projects.”
