Belgian owner Exmar has been awarded a 10-year charter by Gunvor for the provision of its floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) and barge and related services in Bangladesh.

The Exmar FSRU barge is undergoing site-specific modifications at Keppel Shipyard after having been delivered from Wison Offshore and Marine in December.

The FSRU barge, which has an LNG storage capacity of 25,000 cubic metres and a re-gasification capacity of 600MMSCFD, is expected to arrive in Bangladesh in the fourth quarter of this year and start operations after its commissioning.

This barge-based FSRU serves as a flexible LNG-receiving solution.
