Olympic Shipping has entered into a new contract with Kleven Verft for the construction of an inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) vessel.
The vessel will be built to a MT6021-series design from Marin Teknikk and is worth approximately NOK400 million (US$66 million). Delivery of the vessel is slated for June 2015.
The vessel's design was developed in co-operation with Olympic, with a high degree of focus on efficiency and environmental friendliness.
On board, the vessel is equipped with an 80-tonne offshore crane, ROV hangars, and accommodation for up to 80 people.
