Wuxi Dongfang Shipyard, a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Group, has been awarded a contract to build two windfarm maintenance vessels in a series.
The steel-aluminium catamaran vessels will each have a length of 28 metres, a beam of 8.5 metres, capacity for 12 passengers, a maximum speed of 20 knots, and a range of 360 nautical miles.
The vessels are being built for local operator Nanjing Guohong Offshore Wind Power Technology.
