Reach Subsea, in partnership with Eidesvik Offshore and Agalas, has signed a contract for a new, modern offshore support vessel.

The vessel will be jointly owned, with Reach Subsea holding a one-third stake and an entity owned by Eidesvik and Agalas, controlled by Eidesvik, holding the remaining two-thirds.

The vessel is scheduled for delivery in spring 2027. Reach Subsea has signed a five-year charter for the vessel, with options for two one-year extensions, starting upon delivery. Eidesvik will manage the vessel.

This new vessel will also be built at Sefine Shipyard, and will be equipped to perform inspection, maintenance, and repair work.

It will feature a battery hybrid system alongside dual-fuel gensets capable of operating on either methanol or marine gas oil (MGO).

The vessel, designed by NSK Ship Design, will have an overall length of 99.9 metres, a breadth of 21 metres, and accommodation for up to 100 personnel.

Equipped with a 150-metric tonne heave-compensated crane and a spacious deck area of approximately 900 square meters it will also be suited for conducting construction work.

She will feature a remotely operated vehicle launch and recovery system and will be prepared for operations in the deep-water seabed survey market.
