Mooreast partners with Norway, South Korea firms to expand offshore energy footprint
Singaporean mooring systems supplier Mooreast has signed two new agreements with Norway-based GeoProvider and South Korea-based Korea Ocean Engineering and Consultants (KOCECO) to "strengthen" its capabilities in the floating offshore renewable energy market.
The company signed a framework agreement with GeoProvider, a provider of geophysical data and geotechnical services. Under the deal, Mooreast will use GeoProvider’s database to accelerate data analysis and support larger projects. The two companies will also collaborate on offshore wind projects.
A second agreement, a memorandum of understanding (MOU), was signed with KOCECO. This partnership will promote joint business and technology collaboration in offshore mooring and seabed anchoring solutions, with a focus on the floating offshore wind market in North Asia. KOCECO specializes in submarine cable laying and underwater engineering services.
Eirik Ellingsen, CEO of Mooreast, stated that the partnerships will better equip Mooreast to take on larger and more complex projects and deliver, "a comprehensive solution for the offshore sector."
