Marubeni Corporation acquires 25.1 per cent share of Windward Offshore

The Marubeni Corporation, a developer of offshore wind projects in Europe and Japan, has acquired a 25.1 per cent share of windfarm service provider Windward Offshore through a wholly owned subsidiary.

Windward owns a fleet of four commissioning service operation vessels (CSOVs) currently under construction at Vard shipyards. The company secured a senior loan facility of up to €182 million at the end of 2024, and expects its first CSOV, Windward Athens, to be delivered in September this year.
