Norway's Havyard Group is to deliver another platform supply vessel (PSV) to the Faroese shipping company Supply Service.

The Herøy-based company has signed a contract with Supply Service for delivery of a vessel of Havyard 832L design. This will be the fourth ship of a Havyard design heading to the Faroe Islands and it is the third Supply Service vessel being built at Havyard's own shipyard in Leirvik. The PSV is due in July 2012 and the hull is already being constructed at Cemre Shipyard in Turkey.

Havyard 832 L vessels have a length of 86 metres and a breadth of 17.6 metres, with a speed of 14 knots. With a deck area of 901 square metres the vessels can carry 2,500 tonnes of cargo. Accommodation is provided for 25 people on board.
